Heart Of Gold Charity Foundations, Peculiar Voices, Chicason Group, IAWPA Showcase Massive CSR To Disabilities, Widows, Orphanage

 

In commemoration to the International Day of Persons With Disabilities,the International Association of World Peace Advocates , Lagos State Chapter ,Nigeria in collaboration with Heart of Gold Charity Foundations. have called on the three tiers of government and kind hearted Nigerians to support humanitarian services for the needy.

Speaking at the 2024 Observance of the International Day of Persons With Disabilities (Widows and orphans welfare programme and special thanksgiving in Lagos on Tuesday, National Secretary of the association Amb. Dr. Chinaza Jennifer Ugboaja disclosed that over 300 Persons with Disabilities, 150 widows and 3 Orphanage Homes Representatives benefitted from the exercise put together by her Heart of Gold Charity Foundations, Peculiar Voice of Hope, International Face of Integrity( Nigeria Chapter) IAWPA and Chicason Group, saying that widows of falling heros and people with disabilities benefit from the project.

Dr. Chinaza who was the Chief Host of the event assisted by Mrs. Uchenna Ofomata, Founder Peculiar Voice of Hope called on the federal ,state and local government; and international organisations to support the project in furtherance to put smiles on the faces of those in need.

She lamented that soliciting for fund has been a major challenge for the association ,even as she appealed to lawmakers , heads of government agencies to partner with the foundation and association in a bid to provide for the needy.

She appealed to the affluence to look inward and show attitude of love and kindness, calling on the government to partner the advocate group to better the lots of those with disabilities and orphanages.
She admonished that “We are begging for the government to help us because we have kind hearted people who are willing to partner with us but they don’t know how to reach us.”

According to her, Nigerians should practice what they preach in terms of love, kindness and humanity, saying that giving to the needy should be prioritize.

Ugboaja who doubles as the founder ,Heart of Gold Charity foundations reiterated that ” Today we are observing the United Nations World disabled day and we have decided to bring out as many people with disabilities and also reach out to the widows.

“We want to show love to them. We want to celebrate them , we organise something like party and to make them happy. We also reach out to them here in Lagos because this is Lagos Chapter.

” We also reach out to them with food items to support their families. Over 200 widows and those with disabilities have benefited from today’s exercise”,she stressed .

She further affirmed that Nigeria is blessed with philanthropists that can put smiles on the faces of millions who are disabled or orphans, noting that kindness and provision for the needy should be the watchword moving forward to show love.

On his part as the Keynote Speaker His Eminence the Lord Mayor Dr. Alexander Chika Okafor, OFR, GMD, Chicason Group assured the beneficiaries that the next edition will be far better than the 2024 version calling on the beneficiaries to keep hope alive.

The Chicason Boss who was honourably appointed the Lord Mayor West Africa on September 2024 in Lagos by the International Association of World Peace Advocates advised that government should provide the basic amenities to the special people adding that these set of Nigerians should be catered for.

promised to relay what was observed at the event to his principal, even as he described persons with disabilities as special people.

He noted that the special people needs shoulders to lean on pointing out that a new chapter has been opened through the convener in furtherance to touch lives.

He promised that the Lord mayor will use his position as a representative of West Africa to ensure that the Organisation responsible for the initiative that will lift the Foundation to an enviable heights.

He commended Ambassador Chinaza for the initiative of assembling those with disabilities and orphanages

A cross section of beneficiaries took turn to express their heartfelt gratitude to the convener and her team for the gesture, praying for God’s intervention and protection for service to humanity.

Highpoints of the event was distribution of palm oil, bags of rice and cassava flakes (garri) to over 500 Persons comprising of windows, those with disabilities and Orphanage Homes.

In addition, an average of 2 bags of fertilisers was also shared amongst members of the Cooperative Farmers( A segment of the Ojo Barracks Military Widows)

The International Association of World Peace Advocates is a word class organisation with United Nations ECOSOC Special Consultative Status since 2019 .
