HAPPY BIRTHDAY: SSASCGOC Maritime Celebrates Comrade Bodunde With Showers of Encomium

On Tuesday in Lagos, members and executives of the Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC) Maritime Branch showered Comrade Akinola Bodunde with encomium as he celebrated his birthday amid pomp and pageantry.

A total of 10 cakes were presented to Comrade Akinola Bodunde during the birthday celebration held at the union’s Secretariat in Olodi Apapa, Lagos.

The jovial members and top executives present at the occasion chanted in celebration, which was graced by two port managers from the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

These included Lekki Port Manager, Comrade Emma Anda, and Port Manager of Tin Can Island Port, Abubakar Sani Isa.

They were both accompanied by the Assistant General Manager, Employment & Labour, NPA, Adamu Babayo.

The birthday celebration also featured the President of the NPA Branch of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Ifeanyi Mazeli.

Members, administrative staff, and well-wishers took turns to shower encomium on the celebrant for his contributions to workers’ welfare, describing him as a good man with a heart of gold.

A cross-section of well-wishers, members, and maritime stakeholders also presented various gifts in honor of the celebration.

They appreciated the celebrant for his leadership style, which ensures that “everybody is carried along in terms of welfare.”

The unionist was born on the 15th of April.
