Governor David Umahi Launches Electric Tricycles Following Motorcycles Ban

Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has launched Electric tricycle empowerment programme to enhance ease of transportation following motorcycles ban in the state due to this Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the globe.

Governor Umahi represented by the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation and Ag Commissioner Human Capital Development and Monitoring, Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, said the launch of the tricycle Empowerment Programme was one of the Zero- Oil Economy Initiatives of the State Government aimed at enhancing ease of transportation in the state especially for the Civil servants and students of Ebonyi State Vocational Institute.

He therefore, noted that the tricycle empowerment programme is for the women who will serve as service providers and shall be providing the transportation needs of people in the axis of old Government House, new Government House, Centenary City among others.
