Gov Uzodimma Mandates ITC To Recover Stolen Properties, Inaugurates Interim Board

The Imo State Government has mandated board members of the Imo Transportation Company (ITC) to recover all stolen properties belonging to company; even as it called for rehabilitate of all abandoned structures of the company.

Governor of the state, Hope Uzodimma who disclosed this on Tuesday called on the board to recover all ITC parks all over the country; thus retire all criminals in the parks and restore the lost glory of the Imo Transport Company.

According to a statement , “The Imo state governmenthas come to the rescue of Imo Transportation Company as he inaugurates the Interim management Board of the Company, a first step in the resuscitation of the Company.”

The Governor said, the Imo State Transportation Company (ITC) for years has been in a sorry state as “Past managements not only enriched themselves but set up parallel companies using assets and finances belonging to ITC, abandoning the vision behind its creation”.

“Our Administration is a proponent of servant leadership, I am confident that the new interim management board will do well”. Uzodimma assured NDI-IMO.

On his part, the Chairman of the board Mr. Onyekachi Ibezim on behalf of every other board member assured the Governor of their commitment to on the strength of the 3R mantra returns the Imo Transport Company to its pride of place in the comity of State Transport companies.

The eight-member Committee who was inaugurated by the Governor includes Mr. Onyekachi Ibezim (Chairman), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kazeem Adefisoye, Mr. Chibuzor Nwoke, Chief Emmanuel Ndukwe, Mr. Nwogu Emeka Mathew.
