Gov. Tambuwal Has Not Declared Any Ambition For 2023 – Official
Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has not declared his intention to contest for President as has been reported by some social media outfits, a statement by Muhammad Bello, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity has disclosed.
The statement made public on Thursday, noted that ” For the avoidance of doubt, nothing can be further from the truth than this.
“Gov. Tambuwal has not declared his political intention in recent times, so the news about his running for the highest political office is a figment of the imagination of some overzealous social media activists.

“For this reason, the governor dissociates himself from such fabricated misinformation and misleading reportage.
“The governor posits that his focus now is on delivering good governance and the dividends of democracy to the people of Sokoto State. ”
Some section of the media had reported that Tambuwal had started to consult key political influencers, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo; former Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd.); and others.
