Fast-rising freight forwarding and customs brokerage firm GIE Logistics Limited has announced plans to open an office in China before the end of 2026.
The company already operates three offices in Lagos and Rivers states—namely Apapa and Lekki , and Port Harcourt
Speaking with DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA, on Thursday in Lagos , Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer , Chief Ifechukwu Echezona , outlined projections for 2026, including the establishment of an office in the People’s Republic of China. .
Echezona noted that GIE Logistics Limited is a movement that will soon be recognized as a global brand in freight forwarding.
According to him, customer needs are a priority for the company, which is why it is expanding beyond Nigeria’s shores.As part of efforts to build a global brand, the company is working around the clock to provide solutions for shippers and create a conducive environment for clients.
“Our target is to help our importers by making freight forwarding and importation easier, so we are positioning ourselves to go global,” he said.”GIE Logistics is a global movement, and we have the capacity to achieve international status.
“Part of our dream this year is to open an office in China. This will help us attract more clients and make freight forwarding easier for them,” the Managing Director declared.
He added that the company will need to hire more staff to fill various positions in line with the new office’s establishment and to achieve its 2026 goals.
With the new innovation to actualising the global status, Echezona stated that exportation of Nigeria products will be a rallying point and new employees will be trained for that singular purpose.
