FREIGHT FORWARDERS DAY: NAGAFF To Hold Export Symposium 

 

... Ex-Shippers Boss To  Chair Occasion

 

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) is set to hold its anniversary and award  ceremony with symposium focused on exportation of Nigerians agro allied products.

The NAGAFF event tagged : Agro Allied Product Export: The bedrock to sustainable development will hold on the 8 of December 2023 in Lagos.

The event has  ,Barrister Hassan Bello, former Executive Secretary, Nigerian Shipper’s Council as chairman of the occasion and  Captain John Okakpu , Chairman, Nigeria Agro Set up Committee, Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment as guest speaker.

According to invitation letter over the weekend, a copy made available to DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA, Registrar, Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Mrs Chinyere Uromta will be the Special Guest of honour at the event.

Similarly, indications also emerged that the event will also  unveil the newly constituted “Trade Facilitation Committee”, which is coordinated by Dr. Fred Ajuzie.

The unveiling which is expected to take place in the coming days  will also disclose the modus operandi of the new committee chaired by Ajuzie.

Recall that the frontline freight forwarders and stalwart of NAGAFF told our correspondent that he  was recently, appointed by management of NAGAFF as Chairman , Trade Facilitation Committee.

Ajuzie  ,   was a former Chairman, Apapa Chapter of NAGAFF, .while explaining the roles and mandates of his new appointment,  affirmed that the office has the potentials to bring stakeholders together and proffer lasting solutions for trade facilitation to thrive.’

 

“The new appointment as national chairman of trade facilitation is all about proffering solutions for our members who are faced with the encumbrance surrounding trade and to ensure that cargo clearance is not delayed at the seàports, airport and land borders.’

He further stated that the new appointment will not discourage him from contributing  his quota for the  NAGAFF 100% Compliance, pledging further to serve the association diligently.

Ajuzie who spoke with DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA on Thursday in Lagos assured members and stakeholders that the newly constituted committee will support smooth trade facilitation and regular engagement with customs officers.
