Expect Positive Change With Tanko Ibrahim As CRFFN Governing Board Member – Ajuzie

A chieftain of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Dr. Fred Ajuzie over the weekend , expressed optimism that with the involvement ofย  Ibrahim Tanko as a governing board member of the Council for the Regulations of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) the freight forwarding sub sector will experience positive change.

 

According to him,Tanko will inject his wealth of experience into CRFFN adding that “Tanko will make a difference as a council board member this time around”.

 

Ajuzie who is the Western Zone Coordinator , Compliance stated this while speaking with our correspondent in Lagos, commended Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko a top players of NAGAFF on his victory into the council governing board elections.

He said that issues bothering freight forwarding and customs brokerage would soon be a thing of the past with some of new board members into the council.

 

He also commended Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko a top players of NAGAFF for his victory into the council governing board elections.

 

 

 

The foremost freight agent who also doubles as the Managing Director, Pat-Fuze Nigeria Limited , was reacting against the backdrop of the recent election of the Council for the Regulations of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).

 

The NAGAFF stalwart added that, some ofย  the practitioners elected into the governingย  board are seasoned freight forwarders who have the capability toย  change the narratives against what was obtainable in previous administration.

Though, the NAGAFF stalwart lamented that some of the people voted into the board do not have the wherewithal to contribute immensely for the progress and development of freight forwarding practice in Nigeria ; he maintained that Tanko Ibrahim has the vision of leadership.

 

 

 

Responding on the elections shortfall , Ajuzie said,”CRFFN election is just likeย  Nigeria elections whereby the aggrieved will always pick holes on how the elections were rigged.

 

 

 

“Some of the people that voted might be linked to some of the contestants one way or the other because they might be working with the contestants within the logistics chain supply and backroom staff.

“So the issue of okada rider and food vendors should arise andย people that voted were connected to the logistics chain supply.

 

He expressed worries over the abysmal performance of the council since its establishment since 2007 adding that no significant impact has been recorded since inception.

 

On the challenges in cargo clearance from the port, the freight agent called on management of the Nigeria Customs Service to reduce multiple alerts , saying that the process and procedures impede trade facilitation.

He also lauded the huge revenue generation of the Apapa Area Command of the service, saying trade facilitation and revenue driver are the hallmark of a good Area Controller .
