Ex LAGFERRY Boss , Kalejaiye Emerges APC Candidate For Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency
Former Special Adviser on Rural Development during the administration of Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola as Governor of Lagos State, Hon Adeboye Paul Kalejaiye has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the general election into the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives.
Kalejaiye, who also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Ferry Service during the administration of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, defeated the incumbent lawmaker representing the Constituency, Hon Taiwo Kolawole to emerge as the APC candidate.
Kalejaiye polled 42 out of the total 55 votes cast at the primary election, while Kolawole who is also a former Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly got 2 votes.
Kalejaiye also defeated Hon Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun who was appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the CEO of Lagos State Ferry Service Company. Balogun polled 11 votes, while another aspirant, Nancy Ekedo-Nnagbobo got 0 vote.
Kalejaiye Adeboye Paul popularly known as KAP is a reputable player in the Lagos hospitality real estate market, a film producer, a media owner and a lecturer.
He was one of the pioneer students of Lagos State University (LASU) where he bagged his Bachelors of Arts and Education and two Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Business Administration.
He is a Fellow, Chartered Board of Administrators of Nigeria (FCBAN); Member, Chartered Institute of Management of Nigeria (FCIMN); and Fellow, Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria (FCILGPAN).
