ENHWE SCHOOL: Community Raises Alarm As Students Write Exams On Floor, Seek Lawmakers Intervention

The deplorable condition of students at Enhwe Comprehensive High School, in one of the Isoko communities , Delta State are forced to write their exams on the floor due to lack of proper seating, has sparked outrage among leaders and residents.

In a statement released on Wednesday, December 10 2025, Pastor Prosper O.A Lucky expressed deep shock and condemnation over what he described as a clear sign of neglect in the education sector.

The statement called on Honorable Chief Ferguson Ajirioghene Onwo, the House of Assembly Member representing Isoko South Constituency 2, to intervene promptly.

It demanded immediate provision of adequate seating and writing facilities for all students.

The community is also urging a thorough investigation into the causes behind this crisis and accountability from those responsible for neglecting the students’ welfare.

“We expect Hon. Chief Onwo, as our representative, to visit the school urgently, see the situation firsthand, and take necessary actions to ensure our children receive the quality education they deserve,” the statement read.

Residents and stakeholders await a swift response and concrete measures from the lawmaker to resolve the issue.

Pictures surfaced on social media recently which in turn as sparked negative reactions . The Delta State government through the commissioner of education has been urged to also intervene in providing social amenities to schools in Isoko communities in furtherance to promoting educational values.
