Eight Eminent Scholars Jostle For U.I Top Position

No fewer than eight eminent scholars and administrators have shown interest in succeeding Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka FAS as the new Vice Chancellor.

The tenure of the incumbent Vice Chancellor, Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka will officially come to an end on the 31st of November, 2020.

“Whatever happens, by December 1, a new VC will emerge” a statement on Sunday said.

According to reports, top officials from the foremost University may likely succeeds incumbent who has few months to stay in office.

The list include:

1) Deputy Vice Chancellor, Admin, Professor Kayode Oyebode Adebowale of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science;

2) Former Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Professor Adeyinka Abideen Aderinto

3) Former Dean, Faculty of Arts, Professor Remi Raji-Oyelade of the Department of English

8) Professor Tal-hatu Kolapo Hamzat, A Professor of Neurological Physiotherapy, University of Ibadan.
