EID-EL-KABIR: Lagos Lawmaker Greets Muslims, Harps On Peace, Kindness, Sacrifice

Muslims in the country have been implored to hold firmly, those examples of Holy Prophet Muhammad which include love, peace, kindness and sacrifice as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

 

Hon Jude Idimogu, the Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Oshodi / Isolo II, Constituency made the remarks in his goodwill message to Muslims in the country particularly his constituents.

 

In a release made available to newsmen through his Special Assiatant on Media and Publicity, Henry Uzodinma wishes Muslims a peaceful and successful celebration.

Idimogu charged them to internalize all the lessons of the period: love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as ingrained by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

The lawmaker went further to say, “The celebration of Eid-el-Kabir should also renew our faith in God and increase our love and togetherness as a people with the same identity, for peace and unity of our country.

 

“The virtues of unity, integrity, peaceful coexistence and good neighbourliness handed down by Prophet Muhammed should be held tenaciously as we pray for our governmemt at all levels in their efforts to reposition the country.”

 

He expressed worry over the surging third-wave of the pandemic, noting that with prayers, Allah will cleanse our country of this pestilence.

Idimogu who is the House Committee Chairman on Wealth Creation and Employment reassured that the APC government in the State under the able leadership of Gov. Babajide  Sanwo-olue remains committed to the protection of lives and properties of every individual living in the State irrespective of political affiliation.

 

The lawmaker has also in the spirit of the celebration,distributed food items to his constituents and further enjoined all and sundry to pray for peaceful Local governmemt election in the state most especially for the APC’s electoral victory at the elections.
