Edo 2020: We Will Not Allow Illiterates To Lead Us Again

The Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki has declared that illiterates will longer be allowed to lead the people of the State.

 

He dropped the hint at the opening Ceremony of JARA shopping Mall on Sokponba road in Benin City.

 

Obaseki said: “We will never allow a situation where people who do not know anything to come and lead us again”.

The project was a product of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the company and the Edo Development and Property Agency (EDPA) on behalf of the Edo State Government to expand the retail space in the State.

The Governor stated that is not scared in providing leadership, adding that distraction will not hold his government back.

He described the JARA shopping Mall as a dream come true and product of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which paid off within six months.

 

Obaseki government with the border drill by the federal government, was a disguise in blessing if Nigerians can harness its economic benefits.

Earlier in a remark, Chairman, JARA Group, Mr Adetayo Amosun, said the concept behind the shopping. mall was to meet everyday needs or the ordinary people both in single and in bulk purchases.

While describing the feat as a future of retail market in Nigeria, Amosun, appealed to the State government to build same across the Local Government Areas in the State.

 

Esohe Omo-Isoken, Chairman, EDPA, described the shop as a market for Nigerian products that will benefit agricultural sector, and haulage, adding that there will be discount every week.
