Disregard Video Clips Of Army Personnel Threatening Residents Of Warri ……. Commissioner
The Delta State Government on Friday, urged the public, particularly Deltans, to disregard video clips circulating that purport to threaten residents who defy the stay-at-home order of against the Coronavirus pandemic and confronting security operatives.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this in a statement saying, the concocted videos were not a true representation of happenings in Warri or any part of Delta in the last 48 hours.
Mr. Aniagwu stated that the purported video of the two military personnel threatening the residents of Warri is not a true representation of Nigerian military officers who know the implication of threatening citizens with such illicit videos.
“We call on our people to discard the videos and continue to remain indoors as directed by the government to enable us curb the possible outbreak and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state,” Mr Aniagwu said.
Recall that a viral was treading in the early hours on Friday , where some Nigerian soldiers threatened to rape women in Warri, Infect them with HIV in retaliation for killing colleague .
