CUSTOMS: Tin Can Command To Train Stakeholders On VREG 

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) ,Tin Can Island Command will organise a training programme for stakeholders on the importance inherent in Users Acceptance Test( UAT) of the National Vehicle Registry as introduction by the Ministry of Finance.

 

The pilot phase Of VREG commenced At NCS Kirikiri Light Terminal command .

 

A statement sighted by DAILYFOCUS NIGERIA on Tuesday, disclosed that the training will commence on Tuesday 28th and end 30th of September 2021.

The statement signed by the Public Relations Officers,Tin Can Island Command of the service, Uche Ejesieme, dated 27th September 2021, stressed that the training exercise would be conducted alongside the deployment of critical stakeholders in two batches.

At least ten individuals from each of the invited freight forwarding associations are to be in attendance for the training programme.

 

Recall that the Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed, recently flagged off the VREG at the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal KLT .

 

According to her, VREG is powered by interconnected interactions of key agencies, parties, and stakeholders.

 

VREG, which is a national repository of vehicular information that seeks to provide a singular platform through which all relevant agencies shall reference vehicular data with a view to ascertaining ownership and value information, capturing vehicular exchanges and utilising the VIN of all vehicles in Nigeria.
