The Confederation of Africa Football CAF has approved the Enyimba International Stadium, for Enyimba’s Champions League clash against Al Hilal of Sudan .
The game is slated for Sunday, September 15,even as the approval was conveyed in a statement addressed to the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Mohammed Sanusi .
The statement was signed by CAF’s Deputy Secretary.
The Peoples Elephant were forced to play their last home clash in the competition against Rahimo FC of Burkina Faso behind closed .
The Aba based club is the only Nigerian remaining team in the competition following Kano Pillars exit in the first round.
The overall winners between Enyimba and Al Hilal will advance to the money-spinning group stage of the Champions League.
According to the correspondence this is an “exceptional approval” as officials are yet to pay an inspection visit to the stadium.
