BREAKING: Shippers’ Council Appoints New DDPR

The Nigerian Shippers Council has officially appointed Rekiya Zubairu as the new Deputy Director in charge of Public Relations (DDPR).

Insider sources confirmed to our correspondent on Tuesday that the former Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) staff has already assumed duty in Lagos.

It was also gathered that she had her maiden interaction with officials of the PR unit on Tuesday at the corporate head office of the council.

The new DDPR ,since the retirement of Chief Ignatius Nweke is expected to learn from capable hands who had worked assiduously in the unit based on her naive grasp of the maritime sector.

Before her appointment, the ace broadcaster turned development banker, was a Principal Manager with the Bank of Industry (BOI).

She is also a mother with two children.
