Borno Shuts Boundary With Yobe State

Borno State High Powered Response Committee for the Prevention and Control of Coronavirus has announced total restriction of vehicular movement in and out of the state.

 

In a statement by the Chairman of the Committee Alhaji Umar Kadafur says the boundaries between Borno and Yobe States would be shut down completely from Monday 13th April.

The statement adds that only those on essential duties and vehicles conveying food items, petrol, drugs and other essential commodities would be allowed entry into the state.

 

According to the chairman, the committee was compelled to take such decision following increased cases of the virus in the country.

The statement warned the general public against flouting the directive as the measure was taken to protect people of Borno state.
