BOAT MISHAP: One Rescued , Others Missing As Boat Capsizes Along Kirikiri Waterway

A middle aged man has survived a boat mishap that occurred along the Kirikiri Waterway on Thursday, evening in Lagos.

It was gathered that the ill-fated boat was laden with about seventeen passengers aboard before the incident occurred at about 5:30pm local time.

The boat it was gathered, was expected to sail from Liverpool in Apapa to Iyana Iba, Ojo before the mishap occurred around the kirikiri waters.

Multiple sources stated that the incident was as a result of reckless driving by the master of the craft.

According to them, the craft plunged into an abandoned barge and capsized immediately .

Local divers however rescued the middle aged man who was seen under the speed boat after several attempts to pull the craft over.

Video footage also revealed that the survivor was full of praises to God for a life saved.
