BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: NAGAFF President Decries Permanent Secretariat Delay To Bad Economy

Determined to deliver on his promises, the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Tochukwu Ezisi on Friday in Lagos , disclosed how the bad economic situation has hindered the acquisition of a permanent secretariat for the association as promised

Recall that the National President had promised to  acquire a state of the art secretariat when he newly assume duty.

Ezisi who made this known on the sideline  during his birthday celebration as put together by the founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam decried the continuous drop of the Naira against the Dollar  and low importation of cargoes into the country, noted that the delaying factor can be traced to bad economic.

He assured that the process is ongoing and the media will be carried along as to when the secretariat will come on stream.

“The delaying factor for the secretariat which all of us know is the bad economy and I must tell you that we are on it and God willing we will do it. It might take time to deliver that project based on the economy situation we find ourselves but we will give the media an appropriate time for the unveiling of the secretariat.

 

“I don’t have money or an account for that project now but its still on the line.

 

On the working relationship with government agencies, the President also revealed that the Association would soon engage management of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on the best way to promote trade facilitation and revenue drive

According to him, the association has congratulated the new acting Comptroller General of customs, CGC Adewale Adeniyi for the appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He also stated that the fourth quarter of the year will focus more on the Association’s  chapters visitation and tour in furtherance to get first hand information about their respective challenges.

NAGAFF, National President, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi in a chat with newsmen during his birthday celebration in Lagos

Ezisi reiterated that the birthday was solely organised by the founder of NAGAFF even as he  quoted Aniebonam describing him as an international individual.

He commended the founder of NAGAFF for hosting the celebration of his birthday stating that ” I feel very good because its a great day. My birthday is actually 5th of October but the founder is responsible for what we are doing today to mark my birthday.

The NAGAFF boss further tasked members of the association to love one and another towards ensuring a happy society for mankind.

“I give God the glory. My dream is just to make people to be happy always. I wasn’t planning anything big yesterday but the founder took me unaware with the celebration . Am so happy.”

Highpoints of the birthday celebration of the National President of NAGAFF was the symbol cutting of cake, group photograph, dancing, comedy and cultural dance .
