Auchi Poly Debunks Rector’s Death Rumours

The management of Federal Polytechnic Auchi, in Edo state, has debunked rumours that Sunny Jimah, the institution’s rector, had passed away.

Mustapha Oshiobugie, its spokesperson, said there was no truth in the rumours and that Jimah is much alive.

“The management of the Polytechnic states categorically that the rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. M. S. Jimah is alive,” Oshiobugie said.

“The public is advised to simply disregard the news, It is the Almighty God that gives life and by His grace, the Rector is alive.”

Earlier in April, the polytechnic was said to have announced the demise of Friday Eboreime, its former rector, in an article written via the institution’s bulletin.

There was wide spread rumours recently on social media about the demise of the current rector of the foremost tertiary institution.

Oshiobugie advised the public to disregard the news, adding “that it is the Almighty God that gives life and that by His grace, the rector is alive.”
