APC Reacts To Governor Godwin Obaseki’s Defection To PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the defection of Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying the move is no news to them.

Earlier today, Godwin Obaseki, officially joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after resigning from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Many had expected this move since Governor Obaseki resigned from the APC on the 16 of June 2020.

He said:

“It has not come to us as a surprise. We knew he had defected long ago because he resigned his membership of the party which we have accepted.

“So you can’t defect twice. So if he is defecting again, we don’t know whether what he has just done now is news any longer.
