 APC CONVENTION: Akume, Al-Makura, Others Step Down, As Police Fire Tear-Gas To Control  Crowd At Eagle Square

Six All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairmanship aspirants has formally withdraw from the  race, endorsing Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The six chairmanship aspirants are said to have stepped down for the former governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Adamu who is believed to be the consensus candidate for the position.
 Senator George Akume forwarded letter from himself and 5 Other aspirants for the National Chairmanship of the Ruling All Progressives Congress, withdrawing from the race for Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The former Benue Governor, Akume, also said Senator Adamu is the consensus candidate of all aspirants for the position of National Chairmanship of the APC.
Also, the former Nasarawa State Governor is now the only man in the race for the National Chairmanship of the party.
Senator Abdullahi Adamu is reportedly the preferred candidate of President Muhammadu Buhari for the National Chairmanship of the ruling party.

the national congress of the  All Progressives Congress  at Eagle Square there was mammoth crowd disruption.
A total of1,815 police officers were deployed to ensure peaceful conduct of the exercise, as police fired tear-gas to control the mammoth crowd at Eagle Square.
