ANLCA: Western Zone Moves To Restructure Chapters Under Crisis

The Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Western Zone has resolved to address the misunderstanding rocking some of the chapters through consultation and enforcement, as part of measures to restore past glory.

The association western zone also reiterated it’s commitment towards ensuring peaceful co-existence  in furtherance to address dispute of aggrieved members.

At a meeting held at the national secretariat of ANLCA in Lagos on Tuesday, Chapter Chairmen of the Western Zone present , affirmed their support in tackling the challenges confronting trade facilitation,customs processes and procedures; and the  existing division .

Speaking at the meeting Zonal Coordinator, Western Zone, ANLCA Mr Femi Anifowoshe stressed the need for members of the zone to emulate what was achieved on eastern zone of the association, adding that majority of the problem faced by the west , centred around Tin Can Island Port and PTML Chapters respectively.

According to him, a lot of negativity has occurred in the Western Zone in the last four years of the Tony Iju Nwabunike administration, even as he added that the Nigeria Customs Service has capitalised on the crisis rocking the association to disrespect the foremost licensed customs brokers group.

He stressed the need for the chapter executives in the western zone to work closely with the newly appointed team of ANLCA, noting that the team has what it takes to unite aggrieved members.

Anifowoshe also maintained that the newly appointed team will relate closely with the 100%Compliance Team of ANLCA  pointing out that the Western Zone officials will work round the clock to end the anomalies rocking the association.

However, Chairmen of the association present at the maiden engagement put together by the newly appointed Western Zone executives include Tin Can Island,PTML, Apapa, KLT, Seme and Airport Chapter.

They also pledged their support to work as a formidable team to end the misunderstanding rocking the association.

 

They also called on the National Secretary of ANLCA to also eject some of the aggrieved members of the association from it WhatsApp platform to enable them strategize on the best way out of  finding lasting solutions to the problems.

 

Meanwhile,  National Secretary of ANLCA , Alhaji Babatunde Mukaila while reacting to the clarion call of members eject some aggrieved members of the association from the WhatsApp group.

 

Mukaila assured members of the Western Zone chapters that the National President will take a decision on the issues of transition at the Seme border chapter of the association.
