ANLCA: Segun Alabi Declares Intention To Contest As Assistant National Secretary,
…Says Watch Out For Technological Advancement In ANLCA
A frontline customs brokers, Mr. Oluwasegun Alabi , has officially indicated interest to contest as the Assistant National Secretary, of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANCLA).
Alabi who is Managing Director, Factotum Nigeria Limited, a licensed agency of the Nigeria Customs service obtained his form recently in Lagos .
Ahead of the 2023 election of the association, which is expected to hold in July, the customs broker who spoke with our correspondent shortly after obtaining his form to contest as Assistant scribe , pledged his total support for a greater ANLCA.
The ANLCA Chieftain who was a former secretary of the Association’s Electoral Commission (ASECO) and a former Public Relations Officer, Tin Can Island Chapter respectively , is expected to bring his wealth of knowledge to the contested position.
According to him, ANLCA is about to witness an era of technological advancement in the aforementioned position when elected.
He further pledged to work as a team player with other elected national officers of the ANLCA adding that the era of disunity within the Association is over.
Asked about his role when elected, Alabi stated that “: Am going to be working with the substantive National Secretary to achieve that overall objective of the team.
“As you know, after the president, who has a vice president, the only position that has a vice or call it assistant is secretary. That means the drafter of our structure and constitution appreciate the enormous task in those 2 office. It not really about ego or position. It is about adding value and helping the team to promote and project a new ANLCA.
” Let watch out for a technological revolution. Why can’t ANLCA have an online platform where the national secretariat can interface with the 3 zones to reduce pressure from the central.”
“The present National Secretary and his Assistant has build a vibrant secretariat, their achievements is laudable! We shall sustain, build on their works and take it to the next level.”he added.
