ANLCA Commends President Tinubu Over Rumoured Restructuring Of FMOT

Dr Farinto ” My team will rescue our great  association

 

 

Acting National President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents ANLCA),Dr Farinto Collins Kayode has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the rumoured restructuring of the federal Ministry of Transportation (FMOT).

 

Recall that the Acting National President of the Association  has been in the forefront of  clamouring for the new government to  restructure the Federal Ministry of Transportation into the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, arguing that the FMOT  is too big and as such cannot achieve much, especially in harnessing the full potentials.

The ANLCA helmsman also pleaded  with  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to  assign  core professionals  both as a  minister and agencies chief executives in the rumoured  new ministry of  waterways and Marine Transportation as according to him, this will quickly aid the country in  harnessing the full potentials of the Nigerian Blue Economy.

Meanwhile, the former National Publicity Secretary NPS, has called on his members at the Ikorodu Chapter to vote for his team as the group is the only one that can rescue the association.

Dr Farinto and his campaign team in continuation of  their sensitization of members towards the August NECOM election advised his teeming supporters to ” Shine their Eyes” and vote wisely.

He said ” We have carefully selected this team with people of integrity and track record to serve you and make ANLCA great again. Despite the crises, this present NECOM has made a great impact both in the association and the maritime industry. I don’t believe in making noise, I believe in actions. If some other people come to you, please asked them what they have done in ANLCA”.

Speaking further, Farinto said if elected into office, he will bring back the glorious day of the association and regain the lost  respect which has eluded the foremost licensed customs agents group in the past years.

On operational challenges and government policies, Farinto said if elected alongside his team, he will work with the  Federal government to make sure  members of ANLCA get at least 1% from the cost of duty generation to the government.

He called on his members to understand the new exchange rate policy of the Federal government as it will soon stabilize.

Speaking earlier, the Ikorodu Chapter Chairman, Mr Martins  Ikechukwu  commended and thanked the Farinto team for coming to Ikorodu Chapter.

He told his members that he has known Farinto as the only candidate that can rescue ANLCA going by his antecedents and called on his members to vote for the team, while promising he will warehouse all the votes in Ikorodu Chapter for the Dr Farinto Collins and his team of contestants.

All contestants under the Farinto team also make their presentations seeking for votes from members of the Ikorodu Chapter of the association.

The ANLCA NECOM election which is scheduled for August has in the Dr Farinto Collins Kayode team,  Chief Dennis Okwu, vying for National Vice president, Alhaji Femi Anifowose going as Western Zone Coordinator, Chief Lawrence Uba for National Secretary, Segun Alabi, Assistant National Secretary, Alhaji Afolabi Abdulazeez, National Treasurer, Emmanuel Oyenme, National Publicity Secretary, CHIEDU NGWUBE, National Financial Secretary, Chijioke Daniels , Western Zone Secretary, Sir Joshua Ahuama, Eastern Zone Coordinator and Chinyere Okere as Eastern Zone Secretary.

Feelers from the presidency  about the  restructuring of some federal ministries before the appointment of ministers, would also affect the maritime industry , sequel to fresh impetus in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

As Nigerians awaits the appointment of ministers and assigning of portfolios to them by President Tinubu, there are indications that some of the Federal Ministries have either been merged, restructured   or separated   to carry out it’s core functions effectively and efficiently.

It was gathered that the   Ministry of Transportation has been divided into,

–  Ministry of Railways & Rail Transport and

–  Ministry of Waterways & Marine Transportation – in charge of ports, navigable rivers. Note that inland waterways are…

–  Roads Transport move into Works Ministry.
