ANLCA Commends KLT Customs Over Smooth VIN Valuation Implementation

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal chapter of the Association of Nigerian Liscenced Customs Agents (ANLCA), has lauded efforts of the Nigeria Customs Service , KLT Command for the smooth implementation of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), valuation that had issues in other seaports.

 

According to Oyeleke, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Valuation  had experience numerous challenges  in other seaports but maintained that such was not experienced at KLT.

 

She also applauded the Customs Area Controller of the Command, Compt.Hammi Swomen, for exemplary leadership since he assumed office.

 

Speaking to journalists, the chairman, ANLCA KLT, Esther Oyeleke, said the leadership style of the controller stood him out among his comtemporaries.

 

The ANLCA Chair noted that:”The Vin Valuation finds it way easily in KLT as there are timely and several trainings of all stakeholders.

 

On collaboration with other stakeholders, she added that:”Synergies with other govt agencies to make roads leading to Brawal accessible “, even as she charges terminal operators to ensure usage of sophisticated machineries and conducive examination bay.”

 

Oyeleke, who is the first female chapter chairman of ANLCA, said the controller has Intercepted contrabands that were meant for exports among other notable exploits.

 

She said, “the leadership style of the CAC is topnotch and second to none. His leadership style among stakeholders, men and officers of the command is commendable.

Some containers of contraband meant for  export and that would have embarrassed Nigeria were impounded.

 

“Also, for the first time in recent times a retiring officer was celebrated in the command.”

 

 

 

 

She also said that the comptroller, also harmonised challenges on transire cargoes exiting the command.

 

“He harmonized the hiccups bedeviling transire cargoes in the command.”
