AIM Limited Showcases World Class Bonded Terminal Facilities In Ogun State

Advanced International Merchant (AIM) Limited on Tuesday , showcased its world class equipment and other facilities in projecting bonded terminal operations in Nigeria

The standardized off dock terminal located in Sagamu,Ogun State handles both imports and exports consignment through barging / road conveyance from the seaports.

The terminal operator also has a total of 65 trucks to move consignments from the seaports, down to the off dock facility, with 4,000 and 5000 TEUs capacity respectively.

AIM Limited is licensed by the Nigerian Ports Authority ( NPA) to also operate Export Processing Terminal (EPT) with over 200 staff strength provides end to end service delivery.

The terminal run on 24 months natural gas power supply, alongside in-house freight forwarding and haulage services .

The company solely patronise multinationals with other selective organisations with consideration to the laws of the Nigeria Customs Service .

Speaking during a facility tour of the terminal by journalists , Chief Executive Officer, AIM Limited, Mr. Cyprian Nwankwo stated that equipment is the bedrock of every successfully bonded terminal operations globally , adding that all relevant agencies of the government designated to perform their statutory duties are deployed to the facility .

Nwankwo stated that the company which started in 2013 obtained its operating license in 2015 and officially commenced full operations in 2016.

He stated that logistics is a chain and linkage of cargo movement like warehousing, packaging , transportation adding that containers are transported from the ports down to the Sagamu based facility.

According to him, the company brand is critical to effective service delivery noting that AIM Limited is poised to ensuring continuous production by its clients towards promoting trade facilitation.

He described the facility as one stop shop of logistics service provider saying that the capacity of export is about 3000 TEUs.

The CEO explained that a total 1,000 volume of exportable commodities are handled on a monthly basis because of its choosy nature of clients .

“We choose our customers and we don’t go out for any type of businesses because of our brand “.he stated.

Expressing concerns about the current hardship situation, Nwankwo lamented that cost of diesel is one of the major challenges affecting the business of logistics, which according to him also contributes to rising cost of food stuff in the local market.
