Adeyanju, Hon. Idimogu Felicitate With Muslim On Eid-el-Kabir

Com. (Prince) Adeyanju Adewale, President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) and   lawmaker,  representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 2 ,Lagos State House of Assembly , Hon  Jude Chukwuemeka Idimogu, have joined well-meaning Nigerians all over the globe to celebrate with the muslims on Eid-el-Kabir festival.

The unionist and politician respectively , disclosed on Saturday in a statement made available to our correspondent in Lagos.

According to Adeyanju ,”On behalf of my family, leadership and entire membership of Maritime workers union of Nigeria i felicitate with all our muslim brothers and sisters faithfuls in Nigeria and all over the world on this occasion of eid el kabir.

“On this occasion we seize the opportunity to call on all Nigerians to be law abiding, uphold the tenets of our unity and pledge to our patriotic callings.

“We also send our warm regards to all stakeholders in the Nigerian Ports Authority, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Nigeria Shippers’Council , National Inland Waterways Authority, our stevedores, Nigeria Labour Congress, port operators, the federal government and Nigerian workers.

“While we mark this occasion  maritime workers union of Nigeria reiterates its commitment to continue to promote peace and industrial harmony and collaborate and support development in our ports, jetties, terminals and oil and gas platforms in our nation.

“While we appreciate our members for their overwhelming support and respect for due process we urge them further to uphold the rule of law and due diligence.

On his part, Dr. Idimogu, who made the statement through his SA on Media and Publicity, Mr Henry Uzodinma in his Constituency,  wishes the Muslims a peaceful and successful celebration and calls on them to use this period to show love and affection to other faith in the country.

“The celebration of Eid-el-Kabir should also renew our faith in God and increase our love and togetherness as a United country” Idimogu said.

“Teaching of Prophet Muhammed on unity, integrity, peaceful coexistence and good neighbourliness should be emulated as Government at all levels are working very hard to reposition the country”

He further calls for consistent prayers for our country especially as the 2023 general election is approaching.

The Lawmaker calls on muslim leaders to preach love, unity and tolerance of one another as no society grows without these factors, reassuring that the APC Government in the State under the able leadership of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State,  remains committed to the protection of lives and properties of every individual living in the State irrespective of political affiliation.

He therefore, appeals to Muslim faithful  to emulate Prophet Muhammed in dealing with their neighbors and pray for our party’s electoral victory at the forthcoming general elections in the country.

He also bought and distributed bags of rice and rams to muslims in his constituency and beyond for them to celebrate the festive
