Abdullahi Inuwa Emerges New Chairman, NARTO Metropolitan Section

The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) on Wednesday, inaugurated the newly elected executives for Metropolitan Section , with Alhaji Inuwa Abdullahi emerging as the new chairman

The Inuwa led elected officials promised to bring in their wealth of experience towards resolving haulage pitfalls in the transport industry .

The Chairman of NARTO Metropolitan Unit, Alhaji Inuwa fondly known as “GeeGee”, in his acceptance speech said the purpose of the unit was to make sure that the operations of members of the association are without hitches.

While giving the assurance at the Inauguration of the unit’s commitment in promoting seamless movement of cargoes within the country , Alhaji Inuwa added that the metropolitan unit was created to cater for the interest of non-indigenous transporters doing business in the state, it’s environs.

He noted that”As you all know, NARTO Metropolitan Unit is like a first son of a family. That is to say the NARTO Metropolitan Unit is as old as the association itself based on the strategic position of the state where transporters from all over the country can be found, is the reason NARTO Metropolitan is created to cater for the interest of non-indigenous transporters doing businesses in the state, its environs and the unit is directly under NARTO national secretariat.

Immediate past chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Sani called on the new executives to contribute their quota to promoting the brand called NARTO.

He expressed optimism of the new executives saying that the caliber of personality would perform to promote transportation in Nigeria.

However, the names of the newly inaugurated executives include; Alhaji Abdullahi Mohamed Inuwa as the Chairman, Alhaji Raji Yunusa Abiodun as the 1st Deputy chairman, Mohammed Gujja Ebet – 2nd Deputy chairman, Mr Victor Nnotum emerged the secretary, Mr Jacob Onoja as the Assistant Secretary, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Ibrahim, Vice Chairman, Up country and Mr Afolabi Afolayan, Vice Chairman on Export Port Operation.

Others are:Sadisu Mustapha , Vice Chairman Import, Mohammed Gujibau Talba -Vice Chairman,Containerized Up Country,Yusuf A. Mohammed, Vice chairman Up Country,Port Operations, Sulaiman Ismail B – Treasurer, Samuel Adole Financial Secretary , Abdullahi Sulaiman – Assistant Financial Secretary, Friday Paul – Head of Operations, Kamal Bakare Abubakar – Organizing Secretary,Garba Umar Abubakar – PRO, Muhammad Lawan Danjuma – Auditor, Alhaji Babayo Haruna – Welfare and Atom Jubrin Tom – Chief Whip.
