The Akwa Ibom State Government is moving steadily toward the full launch of the Ibom Deep Seaport, advancing work with prospective partners following recent technical talks in Paris.

A Technical Committee chaired by Barr. Mfon Ekong Usoro visited the proposed port site yesterday alongside master planners Dar Al-Handasah and the Commissioner for Works, Prof. Eno Ibanga, to review accessibility plans in anticipation of projected port traffic.

The day began with a briefing at the Ministry of Works conference room in Uyo, after which the delegation conducted an on-the-spot assessment of Unyenge and neighbouring communities to gauge progress and local conditions.
