NAF Hits Milestone: Trains 20 Ghanaian Officers In Groundbreaking West African Partnership
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), via the Nigerian Air Force Institute of Administrative Management (NAFIAM) in Kaduna, has launched training for 30 students in specialized administrative and information management programs—including a landmark group of 20 officers from the Ghana Armed Forces.
These officers are tackling the six-month Initial Personnel Administrative Management Officers Course (IPAMOC) side-by-side with 10 NAF officers in the three-month Basic Information Young Officers Course (BIYOC).
According to a statement, this move cements NAF’s status as a top hub for professional military education in West Africa and bolsters defense ties across the region.

The effort mirrors the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke’s vision of “standardised training and mission-focused capability development” to boost operational strength.
IPAMOC hones Ghanaian officers’ skills in personnel administration, leadership, and HR management, while BIYOC transforms young NAF officers into experts in information warfare, perception management, and modern PR.
At the inauguration, NAFIAM Commandant Air Commodore Isaiah Taiwo called on participants to embrace discipline, professionalism, and excellence, praising the trust from Ghana’s military.
He assured top-tier training for their success. The kickoff included insights from communication expert Prof Samaila Mande on digital warfare, personal branding, and crisis comms, gearing up officers for today’s challenges.
