NPA: LASTCOC , AMATO Laud Port Manager, Lagos Ports Complex Over Weekend Traffic Control

The Association of Maritime Truck Owners (AMATO) has commended the Port Manager of Lagos Ports Complex (LPC), Mr. Adebowale Lawal Ibrahim, and his management team for their selfless service in ensuring seamless cargo movement along the corridors linking the seaport.

The Chairman of AMATO Lagos State Branch, Alhaji Lukman Shittu, disclosed this on Sunday while speaking exclusively with DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA about the improved traffic situation along the port corridor.

Shittu, who is also the Chairman of the Lagos State Truck and Cargo Operators Committee (LASTCOC), reiterated that the traffic situation has improved over the period and that the Port Manager was deeply involved in the progress recorded.

According to him, export cargo over the weekend gained significant entry into the port, while imported consignments exited the port gates without interruption.

He further described the Port Manager as a selfless leader who is concerned about the safety of cargo and its delivery to owners.

Shittu pointed out that: “From the port gate to Eleganza, I can confirm that cargo movement is free. The Port Manager has been deeply involved in ensuring smooth traffic flow.”

The AMATO chieftain also stated that traffic personnel and other government security agencies have done brilliantly in controlling and monitoring cargo movement along the corridor linking the LPC seaport, noting that there is free-flowing movement of consignments both inward and outward along the port corridor.
