Stars Polytechnic To Introduce Mass Communication Department, Graduates First Set Of Students

Barely two years of the commencement of academic studies as approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Stars Polytechnic, has concluded plans to introduce Mass Communication Department for Ordinary National Diploma OND programme.

Director of Studies, Stars Polytechnic, Professor Reuben Ovai disclosed this over the weekend during a chat with our correspondent in Itele , Ogun State.

According to Ovai, the Polytechnic recently graduated its first set of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) certificate students, adding that Mass Communication department will further increase the number of candidates seeking admission.

He noted that the school is still in its infant stage saying that candidates can only make their choices via schools they know.

Despite the small number of graduates, Ovai reiterated that the tertiary institution has courses like Business Administration, Nautical Science and Electrical Engineering adding that in future the Mass Communication courses will be added.

Ovai said school’s popularity is a game of number thus Mass Communication as a commercial course will be added to boost Stars Polytechnic profile, pointing out that more maritime courses will be included as part of the future plans for the institute.

The director said Stars Polytechnic is currently in first semester for the 2024/2025 academic session.
