EID MUBARAK: ITF Africa Seafarers Chairman Seeks Prayers For Seamen

National President, Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA), Chief Bob Joseph Yousou has called on the global seafaring community to use the Eid El Kabir celebration to pray and cherish the values of sacrifice, compassion and commitment made by seafarers’ to move world trade.

Comrade Yousuo who is the Chairman, International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Seafarers for Africa, disclosed this in his message to felicitate moslem brothers and sisters worldwide.

Engr. Yousou called on moslems to pray for seafarers and their families during the Eid Mubarak celebration urging moslims in the country for their peaceful understanding, more religious tolerance, and spirituality.

The Africa number one seafarer added that: ” A happy Salah celebration to all our ITF Muslim brothers and sisters all over the world.
This season will mark a difference in our lives. Insha Allah. Amin.

He further re-echoed that:”May today bring joy, peace, and prosperity to your lives and homes. Let us cherish the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity during this time, as we come together to partake in the blessings of this celebration.

“I wish you all a joyous and blessed Eid El Kabir celebration!”,the unionist declared.

According to him, the Nigeria Merchant Navy will continue to celebrate the contributions of seafarers both at home here in Nigeria and worldwide noting that prayers are essential ingredients needed for them to stay afloat.

The seasoned marine engineer also applauded the families of Seafarers mostly their wives and Children for keeping fate with them for they are always away from the families. He thanked them for their support and patience extended to the Seafarers.
