Ejiro, Kevwe Thrill Fans With Jazz  Classics At Seafarers’ Colloquium Event

With their  dexterity on musical instruments, 12 twelve years old saxophonist, Ejiro Sese  and his immediate younger brother Kewve (9) Sese on Friday, 23rd of June 2023 again,  stunned guests at the Seafarers’Colloquium event put together by the Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Senior Staff Association NMNOWTSSA and the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN).

Ejiro and Kevwe classics, with notable renditions from heavyweights in the jazz circle, thrilled and motivated the crowd present at the event.

 

Apart from the national anthem which was performed live by the duo at the Seafarers’ Colloquium, classical songs from Kenny G, Bob James , Celine Dion, Najee, Lee Oscar, labour union solidarity song etc, were also shunned out which in turn thrilled the audience.

While Ejiro has a strong knack for the piano and saxophone, little Kevwe is a maestro with the keyboard and drums.

The duo had also performed at the 2nd edition of  2022 Seafarers’Colloquium event held in the maritime community of Apapa, Lagos with standing ovation from the audience.

The  Delta State born upcoming stars are students of Fastrack College , Festac Town Lagos , with passion for maritime activities.

The  young talents  are already grounded with maritime related jargons due to their father’s influence as a marine engineer. The duo also have passion for seafaring and shipping activities with aspirations of becoming a ship owner.

Both of them also love Nigeria Afro hip hop artist, Rema with dislike for Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti because of the smoking lifestyle.

The JSS 3 and JSS 1 students also advised young artists to always believe in their dreams.

 

Speaking with Daily Focus Nigeria, shortly after the event, Ejiro stated that”I have passion for seafaring and maritime activities and I have passion for music.

“I would love to be a scientist and I would love to built ships as well.”

Kevwe Sese on his part stated that ” I would love to be a marine engineer just like my dad.

“Am passionate about marine activities and colloquium encouraged me to follow my dream.”

With constant invitation to perform at live concerts and events, father to the duo, Engineer Michael Sese promised to encourage and support the children in furtherance to fulfilling their dreams either as mariners or musicians.

The seafarers’ unions have organised the event for the second time in two years, with the maiden edition singlehandedly put together by the NMNOWTSSA .
