Shippers’Council Boss Jime Set To Join In- House Cooperative Society

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, (NSC) Mr. Emmanuel Jime has expressed his readiness to join the Council’s Cooperative Society, noting that staff welfare was paramount in every organization.

 

Jime has also commended the Council’s staff Multipurpose Cooperative society for their transparency in handling members fund.

 

The Council’s boss gave the commendation on Monday, during a courtesy visit by some top executives of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council Co-operative Society  led by its President Mr.Bashir Ambi, held in Lagos

The Chief Executive further state that “Staff welfare is central to the management, and we want to work in partnership with the cooperative, so that we can bring succour to members of staff.

He concluded by saying  “I offer you my partnership”.

The Executive Secretary appreciated and congratulated the President and his executives for the recent award presentation by the Lagos State government, adding that “This is an attestation of quality of services you have been rendering to your members, which I will join”

 

Earlier the President of the cooperative Mr. Ambi said the visit was aimed  to brief the Chief Executive on the achievements of the Cooperative since 2017 when they came on board to manage the affairs of the society.

The President thanked the Chief Executive for the privilege despite his tide schedule, but  assured the Council’s boss of the Cooperative unreserved loyalty to the management .

 

He further promised not to abuse the financial trust bestowed on the executives by members of the Cooperative.

Mr Ambi however, informed the Chief Executive Officer that the Nigerian Shippers”Council Cooperative is financially stable and members can log in, apply for loan , thus, will be given approval to eligible members within 24hours.

 

He added that the cooperative is  fully automated.

 

Ambi, stated that “We are here to familiarize ourselves with the ES/CEO and to humbly request for harmonious working relationship with the management

 

“I am glad to inform the NSC management under your leadership that the NSC Cooperative was a recipient of a prestigious award by the Lagos State Government.”

 

“Sir, we have over 2-Million Cooperative Societies in Lagos State and for the State to recognized our Cooperative, it a great honour not only to the members but to Shippers’ Council, this is because this is the first time since 1987, such type of honour is extended to the Council, which is  a welcomed development.

“I believe we can not achieve this without the support from the Council which we want the continuation of the guidance and assistance. We promise not to fail the investors and the Council.”
