NSCDC Oyo Command Deploys 2,000 Personnel For Ondo Election

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Oyo State Command has deployed 2,000 Personnel comprising of intelligence, Armed Squad, Special Force, Rangers and SWAT team to Ondo State ahead of the Gubernatorial Election.

This was disclosed Wednesday by the State Commandant CC Iskilu Akinsanya at the Corps Command Headquarters Agodi, Ibadan.

He said that the Personnel were deployed to reinforce others on ground in Ondo State for the Conduct of a free, fair and credible election in the State.

While Speaking, the Commandant charged the Deployed Armed Squad Personnel to abide by the Election Guidelines by maintaining orderliness at polling units, collation centres, while they remain good ambassadors of the Corps.

The Commandant gave the assurance that all hands are on deck for a Joint Operation with other Security Agencies to curb any act of violence, assault or ballot snatching before, during and after the election.

The Commandant implored the electorates in Ondo State to exercise their civic right and conduct themselves in an orderly manner during and after the election, with observation of government protocol on covid 19.
