JUST IN: Okowa’s Daughter Tests Positive To Coronavirus 

The Delta State Government has  announced that one of the children of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has tested positive to #COVID19.

A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olisa Ifeajika, stated that the Governor and his family members will immediately begin self-isolation for 14 days.

‪”#COVID19 is real. The citizens and residents of Delta State are advised to comply with the protocols of wearing face masks, maintaining social-distancing in public places, constant hand-washing and the use of alcohol-based sanitisers,”  Mr. Ifeajika said.

Similarly, the Governor had earlier tweeted the day that the daughter has been taken to the isolation centre.

Okowa said “Earlier today, Edith and I received the news that one of our daughters has tested positive for #COVID19. Hence, in-line with the laid out procedures, we are both going into isolation for the next 14-days.

“We will continue to keep you all updated. ” the Governor tweeted.
