How S/African Mob Killed Nigerian Accused Of Kidnapping Daughter

Mr Victor Ayanfe-Oyebanjo, Secretary of Mpumalanga Province branch of the Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA), on Tuesday, explained how Samuel Nkennaya and Chinonso Nwudo were attacked following accusations that both men kidnapped Chinonye, a six year-old girl, who unknown to their attackers was Nwudo’s daughter.

 

Recall that a 34 year-old Nigerian, Samuel Nkennaya, was killed while another Nigerian, Chinonso Nwudo is in critical condition in a South African hospital following mob attack.

 

.According to the statement released on Tuesday , the NUSA scribe explained that It began when Nwudo took his six-year-old daughter, Chinonye, to go to Nkennaya at White River city within the night of April 27.

The statement noted that ” Based on her, Chinonye had been traumatized by the incident and was at present present process counselling in an undisclosed hospital.

 

“They (attackers) did not bother to ask her anything and didn’t even bother to remove her from the scene before beating her dad (Nwudo) unconscious. Chinonye’s dad is in the hospital while her uncle (Nkennaya) is dead,” she stated amid tears.

 

“Later, Nwudo and Nkennaya proceeded to buy food for Nwudo’s daughter, Chinonye, at KFC restaurant in the area.”

Ayanfe-Oyebanjo stated it was shortly after shopping for the meals that some bystanders raised false alarm, alleging that each males kidnapped the six-year-old woman.

 

“Thereafter, the group didn’t trouble to ask questions and instantly mobbed the 2 Nigerians.

 

“Whereas they had been being attacked, Nwudo saved on shouting that the woman was his daughter and pleaded that they converse to his South African spouse to verify his declare – which truly saved his life.

 

“The Police later intervened and called for backup to rescue the victims. Nkennaya died at the hospital on April 28, while Nwudo is in critical health condition,” he stated.

Ayanfe-Oyebanjo stated {that a} week earlier than the incident that two South Africans had been murdered for allegedly kidnapping a toddler in the identical space.

 

He stated a homicide case had been opened on the White River Police station and pleaded to Nigerians within the province to stay calm within the wake of the unprovoked assaults.
