174 Persons Win Customs E-Auction Vehicles In One Week
At least a total of 174 persons have won in the electronic auction bidding for vehicles, the Nigeria Customs Service has disclosed.
In the first week of resumed bid process, a total of 6,938 persons bided for 198 vehicles, .
Spokesman for the customs, Joseph Attah who disclosed this in a press release of Thursday,said that the winners emerged within 48 hours when the portal was reopened
Attah said the winners have five days to make payments and 14 days from the day of payments to take possession of the cars or forfeit them to government.
He wrote in the release saying “Following the resumption of Nigeria Customs Service e- auction process, the first batch which started on monday 12 noon, ended yesterday Wednesday 12noon.

“The first 48 hours bidding period had 198 vehicles uploaded. 6,938 persons participated (bidded) with 174 emerging as winners.
“The winners have five days to make payments and 14 days from the day of payment to proceed and take possession of their own items or forfeit them.
“Failure to pay within five days will lead to revocation of the item and deactivation of the defaulter’s TIN from further participation in the NCS e-auction process.
“The e-auction platform app.trade.gov.ng/eauction will continue to be opened for 48 hours to interested bidders weekly.
“It provides equal opportunities to all Nigerians irrespective of status, tribe or religion.
“NCS wishes to assure the public of its determination to maximize the potentials of technology to serve Nigerians better” Attah said.
